the rodina performative design

The Department of Graphic Design is very pleased to welcome The Rodina at the University of Applied Arts on May 8, 2018. They will give a public lecture on »Performative Design. Notes on labour, evenness, play.« and will talk about their experimental research on performative design, participatory design and ultimately game development.

The Rodina was founded in 2011 by Czech-born Amsterdam-based Tereza and Vit Ruller and designs events, objects and tools. The studio works in the broad filed of video, user experience, installations and visual identities and invents ways how experience, knowledge and relations are preserved and produced. Clients include MTV and Tunica Magazine (USA), Film Festival Brno 16 and the National Theatre Prague (CZ), Sonic Acts Stichting and Strom Den Haag (NL) to name a few.
